Galileo Travel Trailers

Galileo RS21 Travel Trailer Exterior

If you’re looking at towables, be sure to check out the eco-friendly, aerodynamic, Galileo travel trailers built by JMS. The Galileo debuted in 2009 at the Hershey RV Show and is sold direct from the manufacturer, JAG Mobile Solutions, located in Howe, Indiana. They produce two sizes, the small travel trailer is 21 feet while the larger models are 29 feet in length.

The Galileo is a higher-end travel trailer experience with a multitude of options and is built-to-order per your selections. Options include a 65-watt solar package and deluxe winterization to 0 degrees. Compare these units with trailers from Earthbound and the Evergreen Element.

The Galileo looks and feels upscale and modern with many well-thought out details. The bathroom is roomy and feels almost luxurious. The shape is good for fuel savings as well as driving stability. The floor plan needs careful consideration for your lifestyle. For example, if you’re out several days would you tend to make the bed up and then leave it as a bed? If yes, will you have adequate seating space on the couch or do you need a dinette? Which is more comfortable, sofa or dinette, for your primary use and long stretches of time?

Be sure to call JMS directly to ask any questions regarding the Galileo travel trailers. In the meantime, enjoy this video tour of the RS21S – 21’ Sofa Bed at the Florida RV SuperShow in Tampa.

(This is one particular unit where several of the features described are optional equipment.)

This is the Galileo RS21S. One of the key features that we have is obviously the shape in here, and this L-shape sofa. This converts to a residential queen-size bed, which means that you’ve got 60 by 80 inches.

You have this handy table that folds flat against the wall, or you can extend it and there’s two leaves that store underneath that can be put in. You can seat four people back here (on the sofa). There’s a jump seat (across) for a fifth person, and then add a chair and now you have six people around the table. The table also will shift back and forth to allow you more room on either side.

The shades in this unit, all go from the bottom up. Really nice, it lets you let in a little light and not lose your privacy.

The reason this is the 21”S” is because of the sofa here (in the mid-section across from the galley). It’s a jack-knife sofa-bed that’s very very comfortable. We use residential grade foam, and in one hand (to pull open sofa), you have a bed. It’s extremely comfortable. (Using one hand to lift the seat of sofa, and a second to pull up on the back, the bed is brought back to a sofa position.)

For entertainment, we have a Sony Bravia flat screen, a Sony AM/FM/CD/DVD player, iPod direct connect. We also have Bose speaker system so it sounds great in here.

In the kitchen area, we have these easy flip tops (covering the sink with the) lift up faucet – go right back to work surface. The same (flip-top cover) for the two-burner stove. (Above is the) 1.7 cubic foot microwave convection oven combo, which is very large for a small travel trailer. The Galileo also has an 8 cubic foot refrigerator with LED lights and a removable freezer section. The freezer can be removed to provide all refrigerator space. We have very very deep cabinets with stay open hinges and seamless style fronts that won’t crack or split as you go down the road.

The Galileo is also equipped with a 13,500 BTU air conditioner with a heat stripe, and we also have a separate furnace. The furnace runs off of propane and the refrigerator is 3-way so you can use your propane, 12-volt, or 110.

The construction of the unit has aluminum tubing sidewalls and foam insulation. We have a seamless laminated fiberglass roof.

In the rear is hanging lighted storage. We also have a very good size bathroom.  A fantastic fan with a rain sensor. A seamless fiberglass shower stall. Porcelain toilet and there’s even a recessed medicine cabinet that gives you plenty of storage. Bamboo flooring. The furnace is ducted into the bathroom, as well as into the main living area.

On the exterior we can do any paint you choose, except for black, at no extra charge. Send us a paint code of your vehicle, and we’ll custom match it. And as reminder, the the roof is fiberglass that is not going to leak, tear, mold, or mildew like your rubber roofs.

I am looking to buy the Travel Trailer Galileo model RS 23 foot or 29 foot, anyone have it available new please respond to email, thank you.

  2. Wow. That’s a really posh looking travel trailer. I’ve been in some of my friends’ travel trailers before but none of them are as beautiful as this one.

  3. Actually, if you contact jms in indiana, they still have a few new unused trailers for sale.

  4. I was wondering if these trailers are still being made, as I don’t see them anywhere online. Thank you.

    • Sadly, I don’t think they survived. They were made by JMS and it’s hard to find much on them now either. Earthbound had similar offerings, but they sold off all assets in 2013. So might look at http://www.goevergreenrv.com/page/170/Element if you haven’t already seen them. Best of luck to you, and see you on the road.

  5. Where are there dealers for these? I was to see one please
